Chaos Group’s V-Ray for 3ds Max makes use of ‘smart tech’ algorithms to speed up renders
The latest release of Chaos Group’s V-Ray renderer for Autodesk’s 3ds Max makes use of ‘smart tech’ algorithms to help boost rendering performance by up to 25%.
V-Ray Next for 3ds Max uses machine learning to analyse a scene as it is being rendered, with two new breakthroughs providing a major speed boost.
These are Adaptive Dome Light, which automatically produces environment lighting up to seven times faster than before, and added scene intelligence in the V-Ray Physical Camera, which provides automatic exposure and white balance.
