Head of dubbing and media services and dubbing coordinator join Zoo’s growing Soho-based team
Localisation specialist Zoo Digital has recruited Katie Young as head of dubbing and media services and Igor Kasyansky as dubbing coordinator.
Both are currently working from home but, post-lockdown, will be based at Zoo’s London office.
Young’s role will include overseeing the company’s expansion of services. She has almost 18 years experience in media production and localisation, including 12 years at The Walt Disney Company.
Meanwhile, Kasyansky’s background is in sound versioning and production, including 10 years in the dubbing and localisation industry.
Zoo says the recruitments have been made in response to increased demand both before and during the pandemic. It now plans to enlarge its Wardour Street facilities to accommodate this growth.
It is now “rapidly recruiting” freelance dubbing directors, voice actors and script adaptors to work on projects for major Hollywood studios and streaming services.
Stuart Green, CEO, said: “It’s always a good time to have top talent join Zoo, but in the situation the entertainment industry currently faces, with an increased demand for cloud-based services, we’re delighted to have both Katie and Igor strengthening our dubbing offering and supporting our clients.”
Young added: “Zoo is in such a strong position in terms of dubbing, both because of the technology and development that goes on behind the scenes and the flexibility offered to clients. I’m really excited to get into this new role, looking at how we can leverage our technology to drive the business forward and keep building our reputation as being both reliable and innovators in the dubbing world.”
Kasyansky said: “Joining remotely still feels very weird, but the fact that I’m already able to do live work shows how efficient the company and its systems are.”
