The remote working package includes dual monitors, Avid keyboard, mouse, mic, headphones, and access to Avid, infinite storage, and all support services
Evolutions has launched a remote working package of products called Evolutions at Home. The “advanced and secure Avid home solution” was created in-house at the facility, in response to the need for remote editing during lockdown and beyond.
Evolutions says it “provides the fastest and most reliable remote editing workflow at a significantly reduced cost compared to a Soho edit.”
Productions can edit from any location with a broadband connection, accessing the Avid software and native media hosted at Evolutions’ post-production facilities.
The system can facilitate multiple edits remotely or in the facility, all of which are accessing the same media. Editors can securely share their screen with other members of the production to aid creative collaboration, as if they were all in the same facility.
The Evolutions at Home system is housed in a flight case and delivered to any location in the UK. It’s pre-configured and tested to ensure optimal performance, and sanitised to comply with Covid regulations.
The kit includes dual monitors, Avid keyboard, mouse, mic, headphones, and a box providing full secure and seamless access to Avid, infinite storage, and all support services. For editors prefering to use their own hardware, a secure log-in enables access to the package with technical support available 24/7.
Evolutions CEO Simon Kanjee, said: “The introduction of Evolutions at Home is the perfect example of our ongoing strategy to invest in and create pioneering systems that enhance our range of services and support our clients. During the ever-changing media landscape, it’s important to Evolutions that we create products that transform and drive end-to-end efficiency whilst still maintaining world-class output.”
