He becomes executive producer and partner at the picture post-production house
Residence Pictures has taken on David O’Callaghan as executive producer.
He joins from Picture Shop and will oversee a roster of programming that’s already on the company’s slate.
O’Callaghan’s credits include Julian Fellowes’ Netflix Original The English Game; Series 1 and 2 of Stephen Merchant’s The Outlaws; and The Clarkson Twins’ British horror Red Rose, which aired on BBC and Netflix.
Residence Pictures launched in March this year as part of the Coffee & TV group. O’Callaghan joins as one of the co-founders to launch Residence Pictures, alongside Harriet Dale, Paul Harrison and Julian Nelson, who were each headhunted by managing director Cara Kotschy.
O’Callaghan said: “I’m delighted to be part of the Residence Pictures team. Their enthusiasm is infectious and I look forward to bringing my experience to the party while also being able to continually innovate and learn.”
Kotschy added: “David’s got an excellent reputation within the scripted world and we’re excited to welcome him to the team. Now we’ve got a full squad we can focus on delivering our vision for the future of post.”
