Envy has appointed Damon Tai as a senior online editor.
Tai joins Envy after 18 years at The Farm, where he worked as both an online and offline editor, and freelancing for the past year. Some of Tai’s most well known work has come with Charlie Brooker, who he worked with on several projects including the BAFTA-winning, 2016 Wipe and BAFTA-nominated Anti-Viral Wipe.
Tai said: “I have always known of Envy’s reputation in the industry and having now met Dave, Natascha and the team, I’m really looking forward to working at such a great facility. Although Envy is a large company, it has a friendly and intimate atmosphere which gives you the feeling of a small boutique facility which I really like. Envy also have a wide range of exciting work and an extremely talented team, so it’s the perfect place for the next chapter in my career.”
Envy CEO Dave Cadle added: “We are very happy to have Damon join our team. When someone of Damon’s calibre is available, the decision is made easy for you and Envy is very excited to have him as part of our ever-growing future. In my opinion his reputation is second to none and it will strengthen our offering for Envy’s clients even more.”
Tai’s arrival comes as Envy makes a number of internal promotions, including six runners/front of house staff moving into production and machine room roles in the past month.
