It is the first short form visual content studio from the advertising, broadcast and production industry to gain the cerification.
Visual content studio Coffee & TV has been awarded Certified B Corporation status.
Certified B Corporations have to meet standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability and aspire to use the power of business to solve social and environmental problems.
There are 3,720 Certified B Corporations in more than 150 industries in 74 countries at the time of writing. Coffee & TV is the first short form visual content studio from the advertising, broadcast and production industry to gain the cerification.
B Lab evaluates the certification by evaluating a company’s impact on its team, suppliers, clients, community and environment.
Coffee & TV began the process to acheive this status in late 2019, with a series of assessments from B Lab eventually giving it the certification.
CEO and co-founder Derek Moore said: “I am incredibly proud that Coffee & TV is now a Certified B Corporation. This is the gold standard in social and environmental responsibility. Our ethos from the very beginning has been to do things better; to empower our teams and genuinely help our clients, whilst minimising our impact on the planet.
“Our industry is not particularly known for putting people first or committing to protect the environment, so we have always tried to do the right thing, not only the best thing for our profit margin.
“The B Corp assessment provides us with a framework to measure Coffee & TV’s success against rigorous values and responsible practices as we scale as a company.”
