New products and updates were revealed via a live stream on YouTube
Blackmagic has used a live YouTube stream to launch a number of new products and updates.
The full broadcast from Friday evening is below, and includes the launch of the ATEM Mini Pro, a small four-input HDMI production switcher with a built-in multiview and streaming engine. It supports YouTube Live, Facebook and Twitch without requiring additional streaming software. The ATEM Mini Pro costs US$595.
Also included in the live stream were details of a free firmware update (v6.9) for the Pocket Cinema Camera line. It adds studio camera features and enables users to connect to an ATEM Mini switcher for control of the camera parameters, lens and tally light.
The HyperDeck Studio Mini also has a significant update, including a better quality H.264 codec and to support the AAC audio format, which means files can now be uploaded direct to YouTube. There is now also support for longer recording times in a single file of at least three hours.
