Brief Post-production on the documentary series, centred on the West Midlands Ambulance Service.
How it was done Colourist Perry Gibbs used Digital Vision’s Nucoda to create dynamic atmospheres for the changing locations of the ambulances and rapid response crews, as well as the Emergency Operations Centre in Birmingham. The footage was shot on Sony FS7, Canon C300, GoPro Hero, Marshall Minicams and Canon XF305. Nucoda’s DVO Clarity and DVO Brickwall were used to reduce noise and aliasing within the lower exposures and bit rates. On-board stabilisation and de-flicker tools were also used. Gary Kelly mixed the audio using ProTools HD12 on an Avid S6 console. Ben Salkeld did the online using Avid Symphony. It was post-produced by Richard Folley.
Watch it Thursdays, 9pm, BBC1
