TC Soho has bought two Sony VTRs to help with the company’s transfer and duplication operation and also its standalone Avid and FCP digitising service.
The SRW-5800 HDcam-SR recorder and the HDW-M2000 will provide tape-to-tape transfer and dubs and feed into the company’s digitising service for producers that don’t have a deck link-up or who need their files ‘edit ready’.
JP Dash, business development manager, said: ‘After speaking to a number of our existing clients we see that this is a regular requirement that is usually tied into edits with post production companies, in the current climate some companies are choosing to edit in-house to reduce costs and we hope that this service will compliment this growing trend.’
The company has also picked up a JVC HD monitor and a Tetronix WVR-5000 Waveform Rasteriser.
TC Soho is a duplication, digital media and DVD authoring company based on Poland Street in London.
