Talking TV: BBC3's This Country & Indie Summit

This week, Talking TV heads to the Cotswolds to find out more about BBC3’s mockumentary This Country, before traveling to Bafta to hear from the cream of the indie crop at Broadcast’s Indie Summit.

We speak to This Country creators Daisy May Cooper and Charlie Cooper about their long-gestating comedy and how they took it from a Vicky Pollard-lite pilot to one of the year’s most talked-about shows.

Elsewhere, Broadcast editor Chris Curtis visits the studio to discuss Left Bank Pictures’ high-concept drama Amazon commission - priests-versus-aliens drama Oasis and look back at the key themes from the Indie Summit.

Together with host Peter White, he also analyses the latest round of hires at Tim Hincks and Peter Fincham’s indie, Expectation.
