Editshare is making two new storage products available for small or medium sized facilities.
Unlike other XStream EFS products, the XStream EFS 200 and 300 are the first to provide the option of starting with a simple single node that can be scaled upwards.
The EFS 200 offers up to 128 TB of storage in a 2U space. The EFS 300 model provides up to 140 TB of capacity in a 3U chassis.
Both include the Flow media asset management and Ark Media Archive applications.
Bill Thompson, EditShare storage product manager, said: “Our new XStream EFS 200 and EFS 300 are a great option for the thousands of smaller companies where a multi-node cluster is simply overkill for their needs.”
In related news, Editshare has agreed a deal to buy the Spanish QC software system developer QUALES.
James Richings, managing director, EditShare, said, “We have a strong vision for integrated and automated QC applications throughout our Flow PAM platform. QUALES brings a solid technology base and a strong product team, which will help us deliver a new and innovative approach to QC workflows over the coming year.”
Financial details were not disclosed.
