The campaign aims to increase awareness of the importance of software compliance as well as take action against infringements. The federation is also encouraging employees who believe their organisation is infringing software licensing laws to contact the copyright hotline on 0845 6034567.
Fast legal and industry services general counsel Paul Brennan said: 'We are talking about staying on the right side of the law as well as saving money. A company would not drive a fleet of untaxed vehicles without expecting to be caught and the same can be said for illegal software in an organisation.'
Fast was the world's first software anti-piracy organisation. Set up in 1984, it began by lobbying parliament for changes to copyright law.
