A West Yorkshire company has developed a virtually silent air conditioning system specifically for use in studios and post facilities.

Silentair’s indoor installed unit operates at under 15db at maximum fan speed and has a ‘ducted’ system that removes the need for acoustic silencers or oversized ducting to quieten it down.

Because the system can be installed inside a studio, it eliminates the need for multiple penetrations in the walls and ceiling which is standard practice for normal studio AC systems.

A company spokesperson said: “Silentair have not followed the rest of the Studio AC pack, preferring to take a completely new approach to studio Air Conditioning. This innovative approach has solved many of the traditional problems associated with studio Air Conditioning and resulted in cost savings and substantially reduced onsite installation times can be expected.”
