The 360-degree capabilities of Mocha VR will be a key focus for plug-in developer Boris FX at this week’s Siggraph expo in LA.
In its latest version, Mocha VR includes native tracking, masking, object removal, and horizon stabilisation (pictured) tools for 360-degree work when using Adobe Premiere Pro or After Effects, Avid Media Composer, The Foundry’s Nuke, and Blackmagic Design Fusion.
Mocha VR uses the planar tracking engine developed by Boris FX owned Imagineer Systems.
“Siggraph is a great opportunity for us to preview the newest problem-solving tools for the growing 360-degree filmmaking community,” said Ross Shain, chief product officer of Boris FX and Imagineer Systems.
Also on the Boris both (stand 1011) will be a new VR Unit for Continuum 11 that has multiple VR enabled plug-ins for editing tasks. Features include optimised blurs and sharpening filters.
Continuum 11 also features a Primatte chroma keying plug-in with technology licensed from Photron.
Sapphire 11 will also be on show. The latest version includes Mocha’s tracking and masking tools in all of its filters.
Siggraph takes place 30 July to 3 August at the Los Angeles Convention Centre.
