BBC Studios and Post Production (S&PP) has added Icon mixing consoles to its Television Centre facility in Shepherd’s Bush as it moves towards using Pro Tools for all its audio dubbing and editing.

Audio post-production reseller Scrub supplied the wholly owned commercial subsidiary with two D-Control desks (one 16 fader and one 32 fader), which will replace AMS Neve Logic systems in its Blue and Green suites.

BBC S&PP’s sound team leader Edurne Bengoa said: “It is essential that we can move projects easily between our own engineers and theatres, and work on sessions that may have been started externally.

“We have three dubbing theatres and two track-laying rooms at Television Centre, two dubbing theatres at White City and two dubbing theatres dedicated to EastEnders at Elstree. Almost all are now entirely equipped with
Pro Tools.”

Scrub installed the new equipment while the wiring was carried out in-house.
