Two former employees of Bermuda Shorts have set up their own animation company Rubber Studios and completed work on an ident for CBeebies.
The Covent Garden-based company is jointly owned by Lee Bryan, the managing director and Jules Pye, the senior producer. It will specialise in animation, mixed media and visual effects.
Pye trained as an animation producer at Uli Meyer Studios where she worked on a number of animation features such as Lost in Space and Space Jam before joining Bermuda Shorts as an in-house producer.
Before coming managing director at Bermuda Shorts Bryan worked at a number of animation companies and was a producer at Amber Music.
Rubber Studios has just finished work on a 30-second ident for the Get Set Go strand on CBeebies which airs everyday at 7am. The promo features presenters Sid Sloane and Andy Day singing about getting up in the morning, having breakfast and cleaning your teeth.
The producer was Laura Wood and producer was Adam Redfern. The animation and concept design was by Chris Gooch.
