ADR mixer, voice director and sound designer Nick Roberts has been named as head of ADR at audio post house SNK Studios.

Working on a consultancy basis, Roberts will aid the in-house engineering and production teams at the Tottenham Court Road-based facility as it looks to develop its ADR offering for TV dramas and feature films.

Roberts’ ADR credits include Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Black Mirror.

The appointment coincides with the completion of a facility-wide re-fit that includes the opening of a Dolby Atmos suite.

The suite has been certified for mixing cinema commercials and trailers in 5.1 and 7.1, and holds Dolby Atmos pre-mix status allowing SNK to track-lay in the latest 360-degree surround sound format.

Studio 7 was designed by Dolby Europe, acoustician Nick Whitaker and studio design and construction firm Miloco Builds.

New systems, including an Avid S6 control surface, were provided and installed by Jigsaw24.
