IBC 2013: Rascular will debut an expansion of its PC-based control and monitoring technology Helm at this year’s Amsterdam trade show.

Helm allows customers to pick best-of-breed systems – branding devices, routers, video servers, VTRs, multi-image display processors and modular gear - from a range of different manufactures and provides an integrated, user-defined control and monitoring surface for operators.

Helm Clockwork is a new application that allows users to create scheduled events where simple or more complex workflows can be triggered automatically at a pre-defined time of day, freeing up operators to concentrate on other vital tasks.

Additional Helm developments for IBC 2013 include a V4.1 release of the software, which features Indicator Controls, which are graphic images to represent the status of devices or signal flow.

It also includes Rotary Controls – new volume knob-style controls for adjusting panel parameters.
