IBC 2012: Harmonic’s new ProMedia Xpress file-based transcoder, the latest addition to the company’s ProMedia Suite multiscreen system, will be showcased at IBC.

A live MPEG-DASH streaming demonstration, based on Harmonic compression technology used in the London Olympic Games, will be demonstrated as will enhancements to the recently introduced Spectrum ChannelPort playout device.

The next-generation multifunction ProView 7100 device (pictured), which provides transcoding, transport stream descrambling, and MPEG stream processing in a single rack unit will also be on show.
