Boutique post house Pogo Films is to develop its own 3D TV projects after adding stereoscopic finishing to its services offering.

A JVC 3D display, Inition’s Stereo Brain 3D processor and a licence to run Quantel’s 3D tool-set on its Pablo iQ have all been purchased with a view to providing finishing for film, commercials, promo and television clients.

At the same time, the London based facility will produce its own stereo content, with an eye on adding to the company’s 3D research and development work.

“Our stereo 3D production activities can only benefi t our clients as we explore and develop streamlined workfl ows with different rigs and cameras, and manage the transition through to post,” said Pogo Films managing director
Philip Richardson.

“That transition point is where all the skeletons lurk at the moment. We want to shine our light into that closet.”

The first three in-house projects are a children’s storytelling series, a multi-part horror drama and a documentary on surfboard shaping.
