Weekly podcast launches with an interview with the creator of BBC drama Everything I Know About Love
Journalist, columnist and writer Dolly Alderton appears on the debut episode of Broadcast’s podcast to reflect on the process of securing a BBC1 commission for Everything I Know About Love.
Broadcast and Broadcast Intelligence have combined for the podcast series: Broadcast Behind the Screens, which will take a look behind the curtain of the latest shows and TV news.
In its first ep, Alderton sits down with Alice Redman to discuss how she adapted her millennial memoir, supported by Surian Fletcher-Jones and Working Title Television.
Alderton also discusses her previous role as a story producer on Made in Chelsea, switching from journalism to screenwriting and creating the “glorious grub” of a house share in London.
Elsewhere in the episode, Alice and co-host Heather Fallon highlight their favourite greenlights from the past week in Commissioning Conversations.
Broadcast Behind the Screens will be released weekly on Mondays for an initial eight-week period.
