Pinewood Shepperton, Framestore and producer and former US studio exec Steve Norris have set up a new production services company.

Apollo Productions will provide services and support to film makers from around the world on issues relating to film production in the UK.

The firm will advise on areas such as film qualification and the UK cultural test, co-production status and tax credits, as well as managing the production process for its clients.

Framestore CEO William Sargent said Apollo is a “natural next step” for the VFX house, as it takes a bigger role in the films it works on.

“Our brand and reputation is based on state of the art creativity, combined with world-renowned quality and support for the filmmakers that choose to work with us. We want their experience in the UK to be the best it can be,” Sargent said.

Pinewood Shepperton chief executive Ivan Dunleavy added: “[Apollo] allows us to add yet another string to our bow as we develop our business in the UK and across the world.

“We are confident that the combined experience and expertise of Pinewood, Framestore and Steve Norris will create a compelling new service to international clients.”
