Pepper has completed the picture post on a documentary for Five about the sculptor Antony Gormley. Inside Australia was shot near the tiny outback town of Menzies on the huge Lake Ballard in Western Australia. The area has become home to Gormley's most ambitious work to date, an installation of 51 sculptures. Cinematographer Ian Batt briefed Pepper colourist Chris Beeton to create a hot, burnt-out look to reflect the harsh aspects of the desert landscape. By bleaching out the warm colours and creating heightened tones, Beeton was able to highlight the redness of the earth and the blue skys. Inside Australia is a Thunderbox Production, and will air on 28 December.
