The deal will see specially created news video content created by ITN's multimedia division, ITN On, available on the phone giant's website, http://www.orange.co.uk/, or on its mobile phone WAP site, Orange World.

The video content, featuring pictures and voiceovers, will include all the latest UK, world, sports and entertainment news and will be updated frequently throughout the day.

Vice president of Orange broadband Eric Abensur said the aim of the deal was to give Orange customers up to the minute news wherever they are.

ITN would not comment on the duration of the deal, but said it would run for a 'substantial' amount of time.
