Live events and audio visual hire company Onyx Presentations has bought six JVC GY-HM790 HD camera fibre channels as part of its investment in HD technology.

It has also bought two JVC KM-H3000 12-channel production switchers and seven DT-V professional monitors.

The hybrid fibre channels and associated equipment, supplied by CVP Group, will become part of Onyx’s rental stock for dry hire and live events.

The integrated hybrid fibre solution of the GY-HM790 camera system supports up to 500m single cable runs between the camera and the base station.
