The National Film and Television School (NFTS) is launching a Live TV Simulator Sports Production course in partnership with HBS, the company that provides host broadcasting services for the football World Cup
HBS’s Broadcast Academy and the NFTS will run the short course in September, offering theoretical and practical learning with a live TV simulator replacing OB vans, fly-away kit and studio galleries.
Dr, Jon Wardle, NFTS deputy director, said: “HBS Broadcast Academy, with its expertise in working on major sporting events, combined with the School’s experience in practical, hands on training creates a unique proposition for students that is hard to replicate.”
At the same time NFTS has appointed IBC Council Chair and former president of the IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology) Naomi Climer to its board of governors.
