Brief Create distinctive titles and other programme elements that reflect the S4C brand as part of the programme’s relaunch and a move to a later, 9pm slot.
How it was done The brand is based on burrowing into the headline stories in minute detail.
Animated by Jamal Peace, this was achieved by moving cameras through footage, crashing through layers in 3D, at pixel level.
The team used a mixture of Maxon Cinema 4D for the animation and Adobe After Effects for the post-production work and grading.
The camera moves were exported from 3D into After Effects so that the S4C in-house news graphics team is able to change the footage in the titles for special events and to keep the
brand current and up-to-date.
