the BBC's drama documentary First Olympians. Mill TV digitally rebuilt the ancient site of Olympia, complete with crowds. The site was built by matte painter Barney Curnow, who applied paintings to 3D geometry. Two chariots were shot on location in HD, as the programme includes a chariot race, but 3D artist Adrian Wyer had to generate a further six by compositing different plates. Wyer and Andres Eguiren provided 3D graphics, while Dave Houghton operated Flame. First Olympiansis due to air on 23 July on BBC2.
