The Mill’s Los Angeles facility snared an Outstanding Animated Character gong at last night’s Visual Effects Society awards.

Mill LA won in the ‘Outstanding Animated Character in a Broadcast Programme or Commercial’ category for its work on the AMF commercial The Caterpillar.

The Filip Engstrom directed spot features a host of fully CG photo real insects.

According to Design You Trust, “the star of the ad is a caterpillar who becomes forlorn after a series of trials and tribulations until he transforms into a beautiful butterfly.”

The victorious artists were Robert Sethi, Jamie O’Hara, Becky Porter and Steve Beck.
