Eurosport-owner Discovery names Fox Networks exec as head of sports marketing solutions
Discovery has appointed Mike Rich as head of sports marketing solutions, with particular oversight of Eurosport advertising sales.
Rich joins Discovery in the newly created role from Fox Networks where he was EVP for sales and content partnerships in Asia.
Rich, who takes up the position on September 23, will be based in London and report to Andrew Georgiou, who joins next month as president of Eurosport and global sports rights & sports marketing solutions.
Discovery said that Rich will lead Eurosport’s commercial sales organisation and sell Discovery’s sports content portfolio, which includes next year’s Olympic Games, to marketers and advertisers around the world.
Before working at Fox, Rich held senior roles at GroupM and Publicis.
