Post house Mere Mortals has opened new premises in Dubai.

The £150,000 UAE facility is the first move abroad for the Newcastle-based post house.

Managing director David Jeffries said he had high hopes for the Dubai operation, branded Spitfire.

“The UAE is fast pulling out of recession, Dubai is in a different economic cycle to Europe and America and we believe there are fantastic opportunities available to us,” he said.

Company directors Andrew Durning and Brian Shepherd, formerly of The Mill, will head up the operation.

Spitfire is working across commercial and corporate projects and has already completed work for Emirates and Jumeirah Group. There are plans to build a 3D finishing operation.
