Ealing Studios’ Mammoth Graphics has opened an office within The Pie Factory at MediaCityUK in Salford.
The new based is the live and motion graphics company’s first location outside the South East.
Mammoth Graphics managing director Phil Long said: “With the imminent move of BBC Sport to Salford we’ve decided to have a permanent base [here] to facilitate our current clients and develop new relationships with companies within and around the area.
“By sharing a creative environment with other likeminded businesses, we feel that we can keep delivering to our current clients as well as building new relationships for the future.”
The Pie Factory is home to three sound stages and a choice of office accommodation as well as a costume department, make-up and dressing rooms and green rooms.
Mammoth provides live and motion graphics for the likes of BBC Sport, Sky Sports News, Channel 4. Talkback Thames, Red Bee Media and Endemol.
The company is currently working on the live and highlights shows for ITV4’s coverage of the Tour de France, providing a host of graphics work including 3D race location joining points, stings and daily programme titles.
At the same time Mammoth is making the 3D route maps (pictured) of all 21 stages that are rendered for both the Live and Highlights programmes, the ITV Tour website and an iPhone app.
