The Foundry chief customer officer Jody Madden has taken on the additional role of chief product officer (CPO) at the VFX software firm.
As CPO Madden is now responsible for managing The Foundry’s product range and delivering innovative software to the market in addition to her duties as chief customer officer.
She has taken over the CPO role from Andy Whitmore who left the company towards the end of last year.
Madden said: “I’m really excited to be stepping into this new role as I continue my rewarding journey with The Foundry.
“I started as a customer so I’m intimately familiar with the challenges the market faces. Now as CPO, I’m truly excited to help our customers address their technical and business challenges by continuing to push the boundaries of visual effects and design software.”
Meanwhile, Phil Parsonage has been promoted to the newly created position of director of engineering. He previously held the role of head of engineering.
Parsonage has been with The Foundry for over 10 years and has combined strategic, technical and operational skills to run The Foundry’s engineering function.
As part of overseeing this area, he is responsible for conceiving and implementing the company’s technical strategy.
Parsonage added: “I joined The Foundry to deliver cutting edge research, tools and technology to help our users solve problems.
“To have the opportunity to do this at a larger scale in the new role is hugely exciting. I’m intrigued to see what the future holds, what we can make and how The Foundry will help the creative and design industries go from strength to strength.”
