Soho post facility M2 has bought a Digital Fusion effects package. General manager Keith Williams, discussing the purchase, said: "The company required an sfx device that was resolution independent. We tried to do that with Cyborg but came unstuck. So we also needed something that ran on Cyborg hardware, and matched to Avid structures. This fulfils all that and it's got distributed rendering. It's been called one of the industry's best kept secrets." Digital Fusion, an Eyeon Software product, is available via reseller Root 6 and is the key software being used on Matrix Revolutions. Eyeon Software has also recently appointed former Avid man Dan Germaine as its new European product manager.
