Mike Luckwell has been appointed chairman of a new post-production industry association being set up by the UK Film Council. The as-yet-unnamed body will represent and promote the UK post-production industry at home and abroad.
Mike Luckwell has been appointed chairman of a new post-production industry association being set up by the UK Film Council. The as-yet-unnamed body will represent and promote the UK post-production industry at home and abroad.

Luckwell has worked in feature films and TV production for more than 30 years, having set up The Moving Picture Company in 1970. When the company was sold to Carlton in 1983, he became Carlton's managing director until 1986. Luckwell is now a director of various media companies.

An open meeting of the post-production association will be held at Bafta in London on 4 March at 18.30. The meeting is to outline the aims of the association and encourage involvement from post-producers.
