ITV has installed a trial HD playout facility at its Southern Transmission Centre. The facility, installed by system integration specialist Broadcast Network, was built to coincide with ITV's HD coverage of the World Cup in Germany. The contract included designing, building and commissioning a new HD playout channel to be tested in the London area.
