ITN’s Ben Martin and Chris Shlemon scooped the top honours at the White House News Photographers Association 2015 Eyes of History content.

The duo fought off competition from the BBC and Sky News as well as US networks and stations to win the awards.

Cameraman Ben Martin, who shoots and edits for Channel 4 News, achieved first place in six out of 16 video categories including General News and News Feature.

Editor Chris Shlemon, who also works in Channel 4’s Washington bureau, triumphed in five out of 13 categories including News Feature and Editing Long form.

The contest recognises the work of members of the White House News Photographers Association who cover events at the White House and in Washington.
