Content management services provider ITFC has had a subtitling contract with the Irish state broadcaster RTE extended by a further two years.

The new deal runs until May 2012. ITFC has provided subtitling for news and sports coverage on RTÉ One and RTÉ Two since 2001.

RTÉ head of access services Isabel Charleton said: “itfc and RTÉ have built up a very good relationship in the provision of access services on television.”

ITFC provides live subtitling on RTÉ One’s live news programmes which are transmitted three times a day and live sports shows on both channels including Gaelic football and hurling (pictured).

The new contract also includes live subtitling for Six Nations Rugby and coverage of the 2010 Football World Cup.
