Gameshow technology developer Ionoco has unveiled four new realtime graphics innovations as it looks to apply its proprietary software engine Ionologic to other types of TV format.
The developments include a touch-screen application using Elektrosil’s 32-point dreaMTouch display, an HD holographic video projection system, and a motion capture suit technology that records full-body movements and
translates them into a digital image.
The fourth concept, an interactive glove, allows users to pick up, throw or rotate an object within a 3D environment on screen. It is similar to the fictional technology seen in Hollywood blockbuster Minority Report, starring Tom Cruise.
Chief executive Simon Ingram said: “These technologies for live interaction, on set and at home, can be integrated into phone, web and mobile applications to deliver engaging, dramatic formats. They also have a number of applications for live events and digital signage.”
