Kristina Löbbert succeeds Bernd von Fehrn as director of fiction
Warner Bros International TV Production (WBITVP) has appointed Kristina Löbbert to head up scripted operations at its German business.
The WBITVP Germany exec replaces the outgoing Bernd von Fehrn, who is exiting for personal reasons. Löbbert has been made director of fiction and will lead on developing, financing and producing the company’s scripted content in the territory.
Löbbert has been at WBITVP for close to two years, using her two-decade production expertise and industry connections to build a slate which includes Kacken an der Havel, WBITVP’s first series in production for Netflix, as well as developing a revamp of German classic, The Little Vampire (Der kleine Vampir).
She has previously held senior positions at companies Wueste Film West GmbH, Boogiefilm, and leading German media outfit Pantaflix.
Löbbert will report into Rene Jamm, managing director of WBITVP Germany.
Ronald Goes, WBITVP president called Löbbert “extremely well-connected, a very skilled producer with an enviable mix of creative and commercial skills that make her such an asset”.
He added: “We are naturally sorry to see Bernd leave our team – and Cologne – and thank him for the huge contribution he has made over the past few years.
“As he passes the baton to Kristina, we are excited about the future, continuing to deliver premium scripted projects to leading streamers and broadcasters in the German-speaking world and internationally.”
Löbbert said: “WBITVP Germany quickly felt like home when I joined and while I will miss Bernd, I am grateful to now have this incredible new opportunity. We have a raft of brilliant projects in development and a team that is bursting with new ideas. I am thrilled to now lead this team to the next stage of the company’s development.”
Her appointment comes weeks after WBITVP set All3Media alum Ben Pays as head of its Belgian business.
