MarVista exec Hannah Pillemer moves across with Allison Wallach upped

Fox Entertainment Studios has set its scripted and unscripted entertainment chiefs following its restructure earlier this year.

MarVista Entertainment’s executive vice-president of creative and production Hannah Pillemar will take on the scripted role to lead the development and production of the studio’s TV dramas and films. Ongoing productions include Hallmark’s The Way Home and The Chicken Sisters and Fox comedy series Animal Control and Going Dutch.

Pillemer, who spent over a decade at Fox sibling MarVista, also launched the company’s new production label Tideline, which recently announced its upcoming drama feature film Slanted, from writer/director/producer Amy Wang.

She has previously held a creative development role at HBO and was director of production at Plum TV.

Head of global unscripted Allison Wallach will take on a newly created and elevated unscripted role, aiming to power Fox Television Network and strengthen the studios’ business with third-party platforms.

Her portfolio includes content from studio engines Fox Alternative Entertainment (The Masked Singer, I Can See Your Voice, Next Level Chef), Entertainment studio TMZ (TMZ Presents: The Downfall of Diddy), and global formats (Beat My Mini-Mes/ TF1, Marriage Market/ ProSieben, Celebrity Masterpiece/ Workpoint).

The appointments come following the changes over the summer in which the US giant split into three segments – Fox Entertainment Studios, Fox Television Network and distribution arm Fox Entertainment Global. The latest appointments round out the senior creative leadership team under president and head of Fox Entertainment Studios Fernando Szew.

Szew said: “I am honored to be working alongside Hannah and Allison as we build the future of the new FOX Entertainment Studios. They are both incredibly talented creative executives with strong business acumen and a global point of view who will catapult our ability to create the kinds of unexpected, unforgettable scripted and unscripted original content that will define the FOX brand going forward.”
