Slow Horses, The Day of the Jackal and Baby Reindeer among those up for major gongs
British shows and talent have been nominated for multiple Golden Globes in 2025, with British series making up a third of the nominees for best drama series.
See-Saw Films’ Slow Horses and Carnival’s The Day of the Jackal are both up for the Best television series – drama award, going against The Diplomat (Netflix), Mr & Mrs Smith (Amazon Prime Video), Shogun (FX) and Squid Game series two (Netflix).
Meanwhile, Clerkenwell’s Baby Reindeer is up for three awards - Best television limited series, anthology series, or motion picture made for television, Best performance by a male actor in a limited series for creator Richard Gadd and Best performance by a female actor in a limited series for Jessica Gunning.
Baby Reindeer will compete against Disclaimer (Apple TV+), Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story (Netflix), Ripley (Netflix), The Penguin (HBO) and True Detective: Night Country (HBO).
Other British stars up for awards include Andrew Scott for Ripley, Kate Winslet for both Lee and The Regime, Keira Knightley for Black Doves, Emma D’Arcy for House of the Dragon, Eddie Redmayne for The Day of the Jackal and Jack Lowden for Slow Horses.
Netflix had the most TV nominations overall with 23, followed by HBO with14 nominations, FX and Hulu 10 and Apple TV+ nine.
