Dreaming Whilst Black outfit working up The Husbands with Juno Temple starring
Apple TV+ has greenlit an eight-part adaptation of best-selling comic novel The Husbands from A24 and the producers of Your Friends and Neighbors.
The Husbands stars Ted Lasso’s Juno Temple as Lauren, who discovers that the attic of her London flat has the power to generate an infinite supply of husbands and is forced to confront the moral conundrums of the situation.
Manchester-based writer Miriam Battye, whose credits include Succession, Dead Ringers and BBC1’s The Woman in the Wall, is adapting author and games designer Holly Gramazio’s novel.
The comedy-drama is exec produced by Craig Gillespie and Annie Marter (The Guilty, Nobody, The Devil All The Time) through their Fortunate Jack Productions, which is behind upcoming Apple TV+ series Your Friends and Neighbors and has developed The Better Sister for Amazon Prime.
Gillespie, whose credits include Pam & Tommy and the movie I, Tonya, is lead director on the series.
