Hyperactive Broadcast has doubled its inventory of Final Cut Pro systems to 24 following a recent surge in demand for rental kit for live event and sport programming.

The kit hire company, which is renowned for its Avid and EVS equipment, has seen a huge rise in demand for FCP for projects like the World Cup, Athletics meets and Boxing matches.

A company spokesperson said: “The introduction of FCP has seen the development of a new client base, primarily within the smaller projects sector or just where single systems or limited integration is required.

“The purchase of the new systems is a direct result of an increased awareness by existing clients who were previously renting FCP systems from other providers  - but their Avid’s from Hyper - as well as new clients who have become aware of their move into a strong FCP offering.”

Hyperactive FCP systems have been hired out in recent times for coverage of the Badminton Horse Trials and to Sky for boxing coverage.

Other credits for the company include Radio 1’s Big Weekend, The World Cup and The Isle of Wight and Glastonbury Festivals (pictured).
