The Hive has created graphics for BBC News 24's new Top of the Hour idents. BBC Broadcast produced four 60-second idents, creating a reportage style to reflect the worldwide newsgathering process, using red BBC data streams being transmitted around the globe. Inferno operator Tim Davies composited the red lines, with close-ups of news and live-to-camera footage using Discreet's Inferno. VTR colourist Tareq Kubaisi then graded on Spirit. The promos have been shown on BBC News 24 before news bulletins since last week.
