Hireworks, the post-production equipment hire company, increased its annual turnover by 40 per cent in its most recent financial year..

The increase comes in its second year of trading following a buyout from Clear Cut Hires and takes overall sales past the £2m mark.

Hireworks has bases in Pinewood Studios and Soho.

The company is currently providing kit and services for The Prisoner for ITV, New Tricks (pictured) and Criminal Justice 2 for BBC and Fashion, a new drama series for Carnival. 

The company spent more than £1m on new equipment in the past year including the purchase of six Sony SR HDCam VTRs, twelve Avid Unity version 5 LANs and 27 Nitris DX systems. 

In partnership with the Pinewood Group it also offers data storage, asset management and video streaming services.
