Avid has appointed Sony’s Paul Hennessey as its new vice president of sales for EMEA, replacing Patrick Jocelyn who has left the editing and effects systems company after little more than a year.
Hennessey will take responsibility for the direct enterprise sales operations as well as Avid’s retail and channel partner sales functions.
Details on why Jocelyn left and what his future engagements are, have not been made public. A statement from Avid is expected soon.
At Sony Hennessey was a member of the European Leadership Team and responsible for Sony’s B2B businesses including broadcast.
He said: “Avid is a company which has long inspired me through its innovation and excellence - across so many customers from the home to professional editor and the musician to recording artist.”
Hennessey’s previous experience includes stints at Dell and Toshiba.
