Branding agency Heavenly is ramping up efforts to build a new broadcast team around creative director Martin Lambie-Nairn, after appointing two key creative staff.
Lambie-Nairn will now lead a team featuring head of television Gwen Kotschy, who has joined from Smithereen, and deputy creative director Paul Franklin, who was most recently freelance.
Heavenly bought Lambie-Nairn’s company, ML-N, in November 2009 and has spent the intervening months “working out the right strategy” for its TV business.
The company hopes the appointments will enable Heavenly to move to the next level.
“Gwen will help us drive our on-screen service and make Heavenly famous in the sector,” said Lambie-Nairn. “Paul’s appointment is a further sign of our commitment to great design.”
Lambie-Nairn was responsible for several BBC masterbrands in the 1990s and over the past decade. Heavenly’s current clients include ESPN, BBC Worldwide and NBC Universal.
