Brief Post on two versions of a doc in which New Order bassist and Hacienda co-founder Peter Hook, M People’s Mike Pickering and DJ Graeme Park try to reinvent house music with 70-piece classical orchestra the Manchester Camerata.
How it was done The complex project involved the handling and manipulation of a great deal of varied media.
For the grade, completed by DI colourist Trevor Brown using DaVinci Resolve with a Blackmagic control surface, the key challenge was to blend the nine camera formats used across four locations, and two different versions of the show, into a coherent whole.
The audio was mixed in Avid Pro Tools 11 by dubbing mixers Richard Lee and Dan Piggott.
As well as mixing the broadcast sound, Lee provided the music mix.
