IBC 2012: Grass Valley launched the LDX series of cameras in Amsterdam.
Initially consisting of the LDX Première, LDX Elite and LDX WorldCam, the cameras shoot 1080p50/60 and are compatible with Grass Valley’s range of 3G devices.
The cameras are based on three Grass Valley Xensium-FT CMOS sensors.
They also feature a ‘PickMe’ button, which enables camera operators to attract the director’s attention.
“This new generation of cameras has been developed with a strong focus on reducing operational costs, which is a major concern for many customers,” said senior vice-president of cameras at Grass Valley Marcel Koutstaal.
The LDX Series of cameras is priced at $60,000 (£37,000) to $100,000 (£62,000).
